Acknowledgement of Inherent Risks of Sports Activities/Assumption of Risks: Participant acknowledges that there are numerous inherent risks involved in all aspects of physical training and competitive sports, whether preparing for, entering, attending, participating in, or leaving the Event. The inherent risks include those dangers and conditions which are an integral part of sports activity, including, but not limited to: falls which can result in serious injury or death, injury or death due to negligence on the part of myself, my training partner(s), or other people around me, potential of a participant or other Participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury to the participant, Participant, or others, or injury or death due to improper use or failure of equipment. I am aware that any of these above inherent risks may result in serious injury or death to myself and or my partner(s). Participant is not relying on House of Champions to list within this document all possible inherent risks or all risks of participating in any of the Activities at any location.

I willingly assume full responsibility for the risks that I am exposing myself to and accept full responsibility for an injury or death that may result from participation in any activity while at Animas River Days competing in a House of Champions Foundation sanctioned event. Participant acknowledges that I have no physical impairments or illnesses that will endanger

Waiver and Release of Liability: With full knowledge and appreciation of these and other inherent risks associated with sports activity, physical training, and the Activities, Participant freely and voluntarily assume the risks of the sports activity involved in any aspect of them. In this connection Participant also voluntarily agrees to waive any and all rights to sue and hereby releases House of Champions from all liability, loss, claims, or actions for injury, death, expenses, or damage to person or property resulting from the inherent risks of the Event, or resulting from any action or inaction by House of Champions. This waiver and release is effective even if the injury, death or damage to person or property is caused by, or contributed to by, actions or failure to act of House of Champions Foundation and which actions or inactions constitute ordinary negligence or a violation of any applicable law pertaining to sports activity liabilities. Neither Participant nor Participant’s representatives shall make any claim against, maintain an action against, or recover from the House of Champions or it sponsors, directors, officers, members, employees, agents, volunteers, representatives, or others acting on their behalf for injury, loss, damage of death of the Participant or to the Participant’s personal property (regardless of ordinary negligence by House of Champions Foundation or regardless of an alleged violation of an applicable liability law). If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, I agree that the remainder of the agreement shall remain in full legal force and effect. 

If I am purchasing a ticket on the behalf of a minor child, I also give my full permission for any person connected with House of Champions Foundation to administer first aid deemed necessary and in case of serious illness or injury, I give permission to call for emergency medical assistance and transport the child to a medical facility deemed necessary for the well-being of the child.

Use of photography and film:

I further agree to allow the House of Champions Foundation, its agents, officers, principals, and volunteers the use of photography and film for promotional or advertising purposes. In the event that I choose not to allow the use of the same for said purpose, I agree that I must inform the House of Champions Foundation of this in writing. 

I have read and understood the foregoing assumption of risk, and release of liability and I understand that it obligates me to indemnify the parties named for any liability for injury or death of any person and damage to property caused by my negligent or intentional act or omission.
